Co-Ops
You’re ready to take your next step—to realize your vision of professional success, in whatever way you define it. At UPS, you’ll have the freedom and support to grow, gain experience, and keep climbing higher; many UPSers first joined the company as an Intern or Co-Op! The opportunities to take your skills and interests to the next level are endless. UPS offers paid Internships and Co-Ops in a variety of career areas ranging from Engineering and Information Technology, to Sales and Finance & Accounting. We also offer special programs such as our Flightpath Internship for aspiring pilots.
Summer Internships are a 10–12-week program, generally working 40 hours per week, from June through August. Co-Ops are offered year-round and operate on a contractual agreement between the employee and their management team. Part-time and full-time opportunities are available.
To join either program, you should be an active undergraduate or graduate student, or have graduated within the past two years. UPS offers competitive hourly rates, flexible hours, paid time off, and enrollment in a 401(k).

Information Technology (I.T.)
UPS Information Technology (I.T.) Interns have the unique opportunity to work with a specialized team in one of our many Solution Delivery Groups (SDGs) within the function. Based on their career interest and area of study, interns work with various aspects of the business such as the internal technologies, airline, customer-facing technologies, hub operations, and so much more! Interns and Co-Ops will have the chance to participate in the Hackathon; a marathon-style event, working on projects that solve real-world business problems. Whether you want to pursue Computer Science, Data Analytics or Software Engineering (to name a few), UPS could be the place for you!
Sales
A UPS Sales Internship will provide you with real-world challenges that will develop your skills and expand your professional experience. You’ll analyze financial data, identify customers’ needs, and develop strategies to manage accounts—the kinds of important business activities that drive our success, and yours. When you’re a part of a global leader in logistics, you’ll connect with dedicated professionals who can help you reach your goals, no matter what they are. If you are interested in evaluating financial trends, assessing business needs, and love connecting with people, this could be the ideal Internship for you!
Engineering
Our Engineering Internships and Co-Op programs are designed to jumpstart your career. As part of this program, you’ll build on your classroom knowledge in an exciting professional setting. You’ll be part of an industry-leading team and learn from people who can help you reach your goals. Interns and Co-Ops will have the opportunity to work on projects that utilize operational observations, data collection, cross functional communication, process improvement, and problem solving. Whether you want to pursue Industrial Engineering, Plant/Building and Systems Engineering (BaSE), Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, UPS is a great place to begin your professional path!
Airline
For those dreaming of a career in the sky, a UPS FlightPath Internship is a great place to start. FlightPath Interns work in a supportive environment that emphasizes collaboration, community engagement, and growth. You’ll have the opportunity to train on various fleet; B747, B757/767, A300 or MD-11 in aircraft systems, cockpit flows/procedures and SIM training sessions. You’ll benefit from unique and rewarding hands-on experiences that develop your skills and set you up for future success as an aviation professional. Commercial Pilot License with a Multi-Class Engine Rating and a 3.0 GPA are required.
Finance & Accounting (F&A)
F&A Internships & Co-Ops allow you to explore the areas that interest you, including tax, audit, planning & reporting, analytics, treasury, and more. These opportunities provide you with the kinds of real-world challenges that will develop your skills and expand your professional experience. In an F&A Internship or Co-Op, you’ll work on real-world projects that have an impact on people’s lives all around the world. You’ll also develop invaluable team-building, communications and technology skills, and have a chance to work with and learn from experienced professionals.
UPS Capital
UPS Capital offers a suite of products that enable companies to mitigate their supply chain risk through shipping protection, enhanced visibility and predictive analytics. As an Intern or Co-Op in this space, you’ll gain valuable experience and work cross-functionally with various parts of the Organization, working on real-world projects to ensure a quality customer experience. Our 10-week intern program provides opportunities in Human Resources, Sales, Solutions, Engineering, Marketing, F&A, I.T., and more! During your Internship, you will work with experienced professionals, and explore areas of interest through planned program events, and job shadowing. To join the program, you should be an active undergraduate or graduate student or have graduated within the past two years.
